Held the day prior to the Federal Mobile Computing Summit, the MITRE-AMARC Mobile Collaboration Symposium will feature outcome-focused mobility discussions in a small-group setting. These sessions will document the best practices and recommendations for four challenge areas, and the results will be provided as an out-brief product of the conference.
Registration will begin at 8 a.m. in Hemisphere Room A, Concourse Level
The collaboration sessions will focus on the following themes:
1. Mobile Application Threats and Attack Patterns
This session looks to expand the list of known threats and attack patterns related to mobile applications and their data. This list is foundational in understanding useful protection mechanisms, preforming effective application vetting, and sharing cyber intelligence.
2. Mobile Application Protection Mechanisms
This session will attempt to identify key mechanisms used to protect mobile applications and their corresponding data. The focus should be on those mechanisms that a mobile application vetting process should look for.
3. Mobile Application Evaluation Criteria
This session looks to identify best practices and key criteria an organization should consider for assessing mobile applications. This criterion is critical to ensure your mobile apps employ the proper protection mechanisms to defend against current and emerging cyber threats.
4. Cyber Intelligence
This session’s goal is to identify best practices for identifying and tracking cyber threats to feed into your organization’s mobile cyber defense program. The focus will be how to establish a program to identify mobile threats and attack patterns to use in protection mechanism and evaluation criteria development to defend against future attacks.
